Elon Musk spoke at Tesla’s handover event for the Model 3, the first mass market car Tesla has made, 30 were delivered to Tesla employees tonight.
Responding to Model 3 reservation holders keen to get their hands on the car Musk said “That really matters to us. We really care. We’re going to do everything we possibly can to get you that car as soon as possible, so we’re going to work day and night to do right by the loyalty you’ve shown us, thank you.”
The standard version of the model 3 will be sold for $35,000 and has a 0 to 60 mph of 5.6 seconds and a range of 220 miles. A more premium long range version will be sold for $44,000, has a range of 310 miles and a 0 to 60 time of 5.1 seconds.
